Chicken tikka masala over caulirice

Chicken tikka masala


Stuff thatʼs numbered together can be mixed together while youʼre gathering ingredients

    • 2 T ghee
    • 1 onion, finely chopped
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 T ground cumin
    • 1 t salt
    • 1 t ground ginger
    • 1 t cayenne pepper
    • 1/2 t ground cinammon
    • 1/4 t ground turmeric
    • 1 can tomato sauce
    • 1/2 cream cheese
    • 1/2 cup warm water
    • 2 t paprika
    • 1 T sugar (optional)
    • 1 T coconut oil
    • 4 chicken breasts, chunked
    • 1/2 t curry powder
    • salt to taste
    • sugar to taste
    • Fresh coriander for garnish (optional)
    • Black and white sesame seeds for garnish (optional)


    1. Over medium heat, in a large skillet, add the ghee1. and heat it until itʼs melted.
    2. Add the chopped onion2., stir until transluscent, for about 5 minutes.
    3. Stir in the garlic3. and cook until fragrant, for about 1 minute.
    4. Add the (cumin, salt, b, cayenne pepper, cinammon, and turmeric)4. and keep frying until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
    5. Add the tomato purée5. and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes.
    6. While the sauce is simmering, blend (half a cup of cream cheese with half a cup of warm water)6. to create a liquid with a creamy consistency.
    7. Add the cream cheese mix, (paprika, and 1 tablespoon sugar)7. and bring the mixture back to a simmer. Let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes, until the sauce is thickened.
    8. Over medium heat, in a separate pan, heat the coconut oil8., then stir the chicken9. into it.
    9. Sprinkle the curry powder10. over the chicken, and sear for about 3 minutes, until lightly-browned, but still pink inside.
    10. Once the sauce is cooked, transfer the chicken and its juices into the sauce pan.
    11. Simmer the chicken for about 30 minutes, until itʼs no longer pink, adding (salt and sugar)11. to taste as you go.
    12. Cut some coriander and sesame seeds over it for garnish.

Itʼs up to you what to serve it over. Rice is great, spaghetti works very well, and if youʼre low-carb, the featured picture has it served over riced cauliflower.
